Adsum means "I am here"

RoseSince 1983, Adsum has been meeting women and children, youth and trans* persons where they are, without judgment, offering emergency shelter and housing options as well as services and support during periods of homelessness.

We operate out of four locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality: an emergency shelter, and transitional and permanent housing that have supports on site. We also own three condominiums that are rented to women-led families at affordable rents. Many of our services, including outreach, are focused on assisting women and families to find and keep stable housing and on supports that allow them to create a home.
