Adsum for Women & Children is a non-profit, community-based organization in the Halifax region.
Adsum provides safe shelter, housing, services and support to female youth, women and children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

We are grateful to the many people in our community who recently took action to help homeless women & children in Halifax. The generous donations have fulfilled much of the immediat need arising from the fire at Barry House in late May.
It is very encouraging to see such a strong response in the community to our call for assistance. We appreciat ethe effort it took to organize workplace donation drives. These items help us keep up witht he extra demand placed on Adsum to shelter women & children.

$5 or $50,000 ... a gift in your will of any size will help the future of Adsum.
Urgent needs at Adsum
We are looking for a female volunteer to help us open our clothing room to the residents and the community. Our goal is to open the clothing room 2 hours a day over the summer. If you are interested, please call 423-4422.
We also need the following:
- Underwear
- Hairbrushes
- Feminine hygiene products
- Bath towels
