Casual Employees
Under the day-to-day supervision of the Social Work Co-ordinator, a casual employee working in the role of a Client Support Officer is responsible for all client intakes and discharges; seeking providing information, support and other services to youth, women and their children. The casual employee, working as a Client Support Officer, is also responsible for maintaining client files including an electronic database; gathering and recording other statistical information as required; assisting clients to identify short- and long-term goals; dealing effectively with requests for services from the public as well as accepting donations; and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the shelter.
A casual employee must be able to:
- Work independently and as a member of a team, on a relief basis
- Deal effectively with crises and challenging situations in an objective and safe manner
- Ensure and respect confidentiality of the Association
- Maintain client confidentiality and respect client privacy
Terms and conditions:
- Availability on short notice is essential to cover regular employees on vacation, statutory holidays and sick leave
- Compensation is $14.50 / hour.
