Adsum to Offer Drop-In Laundry and Shower Facilities for Women in the Community

Adsum is excited to be opening a new Drop In space at the Alders - our supportive housing building at 2380 Gottingen Street in Halifax. Since opening last spring the Alders has been home to up to 12 women and children. Beginning this Wednesday we are making our laundry facilities and a shower available to women in the community.

We will open for Drop In on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. We are offering laundry services or a shower to women in our community who are experiencing homelessness. Laundry detergent, shampoo, soap etc. will be available at no charge. Through the Alders, Adsum also provides support, information, and referral, and our Housing Support Worker can give help finding housing.
